Another film trade

Just bought two film cameras on Ebay.
I have now spent like 90 dollars on defunct camera equipment.

Film in the camera for over two months.
I averaged three photos a week. What resulted were really select snapshots that didn’t demonstrate the whole of each occasion, but focused more on the moments themselves. Or something pretentious like that.

Too many pictures of things.
I have this problem where my pictures turn out how I expect them, because I don’t expect them to be very good. I’m planning to plan a photoshoot, it might be ground-breakingly mediocre. Stay tuned.

Katie's Photoshoot
I have been wanting to do a photoshoot with Katie for almost a year. She has a really great confidence and casual style that I thought would show through well in the camera. We finally fit into both of our schedules and drove to the historic district of Bethlehem, PA. She was a great model, very willing to change small details about her expression of posture. Curves
Working on trying to learn curves and color correcting. But you can just learn it because it’s an eyeballing type thing. So mainly just practicing and aiming at the look I want. Which changes as I edit. What I keep ending up with are photos I’m almost happy with and no idea how I got there.
I’ll post some examples later. Maybe you peeps can tell me what I’m doing wrong or...

All of these are from my point and shoot. All of these are unplanned an unposed.
There’s some editing on these, but nothing much beyond basic color work.
Some of my first film photos.
This was one of the first rolls of film I shot with my diana mini (if you don’t know what that is, look it up. It’s expensive hipster at it’s finest). This was regular Kodak Gold 200 iso, but the colors are some of the best I’ve ever gotten with C41 film.
My church was having a carnival thing later in that week, so I snuck in (read: walked under the caution tape) and took...
